MEET CATHERINE
Founder & Lead Designer
Hi, I'm Cat. I am an award-winning graphic designer, self-taught Squarespace developer, and life-long maker. I discovered fonts at 7 on the classic dafont.com while crafting my very elaborate Christmas lists, and designed my first graphic tee brand at 14. Only at the age of 19 did I realize that graphic design was even a career path I could take. Now, I've spent years working across creative environments, from ad agencies to in-house design teams, but now I work independently with the clients I'm most passionate about: small businesses, innovative thinkers, and people who want to leave the world better than they found it.
I’ve lived everywhere from the bustling metropolitan outskirts of Houston to the beaches of South Texas and snow-covered mountains of western Montana. Since 2023, I’ve found myself among the hills of Pittsburgh, a place I have come to adore for its rich history and understated charm. I don’t even mind merging on the Fort Pitt Bridge, but that’s probably because I learned to drive in Houston… IYKYK.
Electric Fortune Studio Goods was born from my love of making things by hand. Creating products for art markets and craft shows keeps me creatively fulfilled and gives me space to explore ideas beyond client work. Everything is designed, printed, and packaged in my Pittsburgh studio with sustainability in mind. My supplies are purchased at local stores or small businesses and produced in small batches, using eco-friendly materials whenever possible.
